Air Fryer Hamburgers

If you didn’t know already, I am working away at writing Keto Air Fryer cookbook! AND I worked so hard on it, the book is releasing 2 MONTHS EARLY! You can pre-order it HERE.

If you have little children or grandchildren, hold them close and hug them every chance you get. My boys are growing up too fast. There’s a lovely children’s book called Tuck Everlasting where a family drinks from a magic well and they stay that age. If I could, I would have us drink from the “magic well.” I love the age Micah and Kai are at; they are 8 and 9. They are funny, we love to play board games together every night, they can help me in the kitchen, they are the light of my life!

When I finished my last book, Keto Instant Pot, my plan was to take a break and slow down so I can enjoy my family more and focus on my Keto Coaching students. But I’ve been told this many times, “if you want to hear god laugh, tell him what you have planned!” And it couldn’t be more true in many aspects of my life.

When Erich, my publisher, called to discuss an air fryer book, I couldn’t say no. I already use my air fryer almost daily so to be honest, a Keto Air Fryer book was a destiny!

Many of you know that I love hamburgers and I have one almost daily! A breakfast burger, a bacon burger, a smothered burger with onions and mushrooms. I even had a butcher call me almost in tears because I wanted him to grind up the rib-eye steaks when we get a grass-fed cow from my client who sells grass-fed cows.

Butcherbox knows how much I LOVE hamburger too so they are doing a special deal for my readers!!!

  • About Butcherbox Meat: We offer grass-fed and grass-finished beef, free range organic chicken,  and heritage breed pork!
  • About Butcherbox Ground Beef: ButcherBox Ground  Beef is 100% grass-fed  and grass-finished and raised  free from antibiotics and hormones.

I am not a gadget girl but I would be lost without my air fryer. It makes everything so delicious! Hamburgers in the air fryer are so delicious! Moist on the inside with a caramelized outside! Everyone asks me what air fryer I love. I’ve tried them all and quite honestly, I was frustrated with the smaller ones. I love THIS one by Cuisinart. It is large enough to fit plenty of food yet it is REALLY light weight so I can move it from my pantry into the kitchen as needed. Not only that, but Cuisinart is always quick to respond if there is ever an issue. They even sent me a new Cuisinart Ice Cream maker when my beloved one died of years of weekly use!

Using your air fryer is perfect for Protein Sparing Modified Fasting recipes since you are not adding extra fat! Just make sure to skip the garnish!

  • Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel lined plate. Season the patty well with seasoning mixture.
  • Place the patties in the air fryer and cook for 7 minutes for a medium-done burger, or cook longer if you prefer a more well-done burger. Place the slices of cheese on the burgers and cook another minute the to melt the cheese. Remove the burgers from the air fryer with a spatula and serve with the bacon, tomato, onion, avocado, lettuce leaves, and condiments of your choice.
  • Best served fresh. Store extras in airtight container in the fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for up to a month. To reheat place into air fryer at 350 degrees F for 4 minutes or until heated through.

TESTIMONY OF THE DAY

As I was boogie boarding I heard someone yell “Maria! Are you Maria?” This wonderful young woman ran up to me and gave me a hug for saving her. She was living a life of depression and anger. 5 years ago she reached out to me and I helped her change her life through the Keto WOE. She teared up telling me how she is now a new person free of anger and depression! She is currently a missionary in Maui.

It’s pretty cool being able to help people become their best self❤️❤️

This air fryer looks wonderful, Maria! Any tool that does double duty is aces in my book! Just wondering, when you air fry bacon or any other fatty food, how much effort is required to clean the inside of the fryer when you’re done?

  • Sonia says:

    Hello Maria,

We are happy to know another book is coming from you.

In a previous post you talk about the Breville BOV900BSS Convection and Air Fry Smart Oven Air.
This new Cuisinart TOA-60 Air Fryer Toaster Oven seem to have the same functions.

Which one will you buy if you have to buy one?

When this Keto Air Fryer book will be available?

    Thank you very much,

    • Maria Emmerich says:

Depends on what you want to use it for. The Smartoven Air also has other options for cooking, etc. So if you have limited space that is a good option. Strictly as an air fryer, the Cuisinart is better. 🙂

      • Sonia says:

        OK,
        Thank you very much!

We just got your latest book Keto Instant Pot.
We realized that you did not have the Keto level for each recipe as you do usually.

        Is there any reason why?
        We find it really useful.

        Thank you

Hi Maria, I LOVE cheeseburgers too! Can you tell me if the bun pictured above is from the “cheeseburger stuffed bun recipe” that consists primarily of whey and eggs? Thanks!

  • Carol says:

Hi Maria, Can you please do some videos using your Cuisinart Air Fryer? I would like to see which racks/pans you use and at what level in the oven. I have the same Cuisinart, but struggle to get things to cook correctly. Can’t wait for this new book to come out. Thank you!

  • Jada says:

Hi Maria, My hubs and I are new to Keto and are excited about learning as much as we can. I would also love to see a video or two using the air fryer and any other gadgets that help you get dinner on the table fast! THANKS!

  • Shannon says:

Yum! I ❤️Butcherbox. I wish I could convince them to sell me some bones. Maybe they’ll listen to you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Darlene says:

I was excited to try this but when I cooked my 85/15% burgers in the air fryer it smoked like crazy & I had to open windows! ☹️ I have better luck with stovetop (directly under exhaust fan) or on the grill
