GRILLED THANKSGIVING TURKEY RECIPE
The easiest way to grill a whole turkey is just tossed on the grill. A little duck fat or butter and salt and you’re are in for a delicious carnivore dinner. There is no real secret. As Thoreau said, “simplify, simplify.”
I also love this recipe for the delicious flavor of the leftover turkey for making turkey salad (with carnivore mayo and salt)!
Carnivore Meter: level 2 (level 3 if using butter)
WHAT TO SERVE WITH YOUR GRILLED THANKSGIVING TURKEY
I love to serve my annual Thanksgiving turkey with my keto gravy, my protein stuffing recipe, sweet fauxtato casserole and my crustless pecan pie!
We hope you have a wonderful holiday with friends and family and delicious food!

Favorite Go to Favorite RecipesIngredients
- 14 pound whole turkey giblets removed
- 4 tablespoons melted duck fat lard (or butter), or more if desired
- 3 tablespoons Redmond Real salt or smoked salt
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium heat and prepare the grill to place the turkey on indirect heat.
- Clean the turkey, remove the giblets. Clean the inside of the turkey. Pat turkey dry. Rub melted fat all over the turkey. Season well on all sides with salt.
- Once the grill is 350 degrees F, place the turkey on indirect heat on the grill. Close the lid and grill for 1 hour.
- Open the lid and rotate the turkey so the opposite end is towards the heat source of the grill. Brush with additional melted fat if desired. Close the lid and cook another 45 minutes or until interval temperature of the thickest part of the turkey breast reads 165 degrees F. Remove from grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Store extras in air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to a month. Can be served chilled or reheat by placing pieces in a casserole dish with a few tablespoons of carnivore broth or duck fat. Place in 350 degree F oven for 4 minutes or until heated through.

TESTIMONY OF THE DAY
I LOVE getting emails from clients like this! OFF ANTIDEPRESSANTS and down to 118 pounds!
“Maria,
I hope everything is well with you. I am very excited. I am exercising again everyday and rotating cardio, yoga, and weight lifting. My weight is 118.7 this morning which is amazing to me. I feel better and my thinking process is much improved. My mood is more level. I am completely of the Effexor now. I can feel that I am still detoxing it out of my body. I understand that my brain healing will take a while. With that said, sleep is getting better. I think that the salt and progesterone has made a difference.Today is a big day – Wedding Dress fitting….It fit perfectly prior to today so I bet there will be some alterations…(good and bad)I would like to schedule another phone call at the end of the month. Also, my fiancé returns to Savannah next week. If I can motivate him to have a consultation and supplement review.” Diane
