The BEST Carnivore Pizza Crust
I have been testing carnivore pizza crusts for decades. I have a carnivore crust made from egg whites, one from beef, so many options but this one is my family’s favorite!
My dear friend Aubrey who I first met on my keto retreat in Greece, tested this recipe for me and her response was:
“It’s crispy on the bottom but not dry!!!!! Yum!”
TIPS TO MAKE THE BEST PIZZA CRUST
Using a pizza stone or a cast iron pizza pan helps to crisp the crust up nicely. If you don’t have a pizza stone, you can use a baking sheet however the crust will not be as crispy as it would be with a stone.

The BEST Carnivore Pizza Crust
Ingredients
- 1 pound extra lean ground chicken
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons Further Food gelatin
- 1 teaspoon Redmond Real salt
TOPPINGS
- marinara/pizza sauce or my carnivore alfredo sauce
- mozzarella cheese shredded (omit if dairy free)
- sugar free bacon
- Butcherbox Italian Sausage OR Chorizo cooked
- ANY OF YOUR FAVORITE PIZZA TOPPINGS
Instructions
- Place a pizza stone in the cold oven, then turn on the oven to 425°F. (You can use a baking sheet, but a pizza stone will bake the bottom better.)
- Place the ground chicken in a large bowl. Add the egg, gelatin and salt. Use your hands to combine well.
- Grease a sheet of parchment paper and set it on an unrimmed baking sheet or pizza peel for easy transferring to the oven. Place the dough on the parchment paper and use your hands to form the mixture into a large round pizza about 12 inches in diameter or a 10-inch square pizza. Slide the piece of parchment with the crust onto the hot stone in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is turning light golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
- Meanwhile prepare your desired toppings.
- Remove the pizza crust from the oven, top with sauce and favorite toppings. Place back into the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese (if using) is melted. Remove from oven and serve!

TESTIMONY OF THE DAY
“I begged God for help. He led me to Maria Emmerich and Craig Emmerich to help me understand what was happening inside my body that was causing everything I was experiencing. God gave me the knowledge to begin to honor Him with this temple in how I ate. He gave me the desire and the strength to just say no to my addictions. I have lost approximately 120lbs over the past year.
He often shows me how much better I feel, how I can move around so much easier, how I sleep better, how I have better focus, how my moods are better (I’ve come off all 3 anti-depressants that my doctors had put me on…praise God!), and how I not only don’t crave carbs and sweets like I used to, but I don’t really even want them.” – Lori
“Slice the piece of parchment with the crust onto the hot stone in the oven” I think you meant to type, “Slide”, not “Slice”. Can’t wait to try the recipe though!
Good catch. I updated it🙏
I enjoy Maria Emmerich’s recipes and tips. She also gives you advise on good products. T
Thank you!!
I made this tonight. It’s absolutely delicious. Thank you, Maria, for your consistently excellent recipes.
You made my day! Thank you!🥰
is there a substitute for chicken? ground lamb?
Sure, use whatever you want. It may not turn out quite the same though 🙂
