Sugar Free Electrolyte Taffy
It has been awhile since I’ve tasted taffy but I am pretty proud of how my recipe turned out!
We all agree, it tastes like a Starburst! Just a little softer!
I remember going up North in Wisconsin and going to candy stores that had many flavors of taffy! I also was reminded of taffy when I watch a movie on Netflix called The Secret where Katie Holmes is a mother who eats a lot of taffy! Have you watched it? It was really good!
HOW TO MAKE ELECTROLYTE TAFFY
To make my sugar free electrolyte taffy, I used watermelon LMNT!
It is unbelievable how perfect using LMNT works for a yummy sugar free taffy!
You can use any flavor you want. Try the raspberry LMNT instead of watermelon! Be creative! Orange LMNT and add vanilla extract for a Creamsicle Taffy! Super delicious!
I love having LMNT as a healthy option for people. I have been consulting clients for over 20 years now and in the past, I would get a lot of parents asking me what their kids can drink if I do not recommend Gatorade. Now I recommend LMNT! It is like Gatorade without the sugar or food dye and it works perfect to pack when traveling.

TESTIMONY OF THE DAY
“I started my weight loss journey on April of 2023 at 304 lbs and 5’2 1/2” inches tall.
I didn’t start off with keto but just watching my carb intake and intermittent fasting and had lost 30 lbs. It wasn’t until a couple months later that I found Maria Emmerich’s website, and her FB pages that I started to take a really good look at what I was eating, and how I could make a difference in my life with their way of living.
I’ll also add that I have osteoarthritis in my right hip and right knee and getting around was becoming a major problem. I didn’t go anywhere unless I absolutely had to.
I started following Maria and Craig’s teachings and haven’t looked back!
This way of living, and the great result of weight loss, has produced so many positives!
It has vastly reduced the inflammation in my body that affects my arthritis. I’m off one of my blood pressure meds, as well as the mild antidepressant I was taking.
My doctor is pleased and supports my keto lifestyle! I can move around so much easier and don’t tire or hurt as much.
I went into a grocery store to shop for the first time in years! And, I’ve inspired my brother to lose over 140 lb’s! I’m not sure what my goal weight will be. When I get to 150, I’ll figure out what I need to lose from there.
First pic is of me on St. Patrick’s Day 2023 at 304 lbs. Second is just this morning, 6/14/24, at 181.5 lbs! I’m a terrible selfie taker!
Thank you so much to Maria, her family, and the members of her FB pages! Your continued inspiration, cheerleading, and knowledge are priceless!” ~Debbie

Can any other sweeteners be substituted please?
Allulose is the only sweetener that consistently allows things like ice cream and candies to stay soft. Swerve is wonderful, for example, but you will end up with a different texture.
I can not use allulose. Can you please recommend a substitute?
Liquid stevia, stevia glycerite or monkfruit are good options: https://mariamindbodyhealth.com/guide-to-natural-sweeteners/
What if you do not have lmnt sparkling water bit have Lacroix would that work with a raspberry salt lmnt you think? Also can nutiva butter flavor be used in place of regular butter?
Thanks Maria for your recipes. Blessings
Any sparkling beverage would work. Yes, you can use butter flavored coconut oil 🙂
