Ahi Poke
The biggest mistake people make when they visit Hawaii is when they pack up and leave the beach for the day, they head out to a restaurant for Poke. Well, I happen to think my Ahi Poke tastes better. Plus we can enjoy it right on the beach!
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Ahi Tuna fresh, sushi-grade
- 1 tablespoon tamari sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise I used the mayo from THIS recipe
- 2 tablespoons onion diced
- 2 tablespoons green onions chopped-OPTIONAL
- 2 tablespoons fish roe (or massago)-OPTIONAL
Instructions
- Cut the Ahi Tuna into 1-inch cubes. Add to medium size bowl. Add the chopped onion and gently stir.
- In a separate smaller bowl, add the mayonnaise and tamari. Stir until well incorportated.
- Add the mayo mixture to the tuna and onions. Gently mix until well incorporated. Garnish with fish roe (if desired). Best served fresh.
