New High Quality ebook

I am happy to announce that you can now get my books as a high quality ebook that works on any platform. This is an ebook format that works on any computer or mobile device. It is a beautiful pdf that has all the full color pages and layouts as the printed books with click-able table of contents and searching capabilities. This is extremely useful when trying to find a recipe. These books are much higher quality than the ebook platforms (kindle, apple). Plus, most of the profits don’t go to Amazon or apple! Don’t wait another minute to get my new high quality ebook.

Can you give more detail about this universal ebook. How it works? I assume it is downloadable to computer but I do have a Kindle and think the portability of the Kindle to the kitchen would be good when reading recipes. Yet, above you are rating the quality better on platforms other than Kindle. I would like more pros/cons to make the best decision. p.s. I am no computer/tech wizard but pretty good working the basics. I am ready to buy once I figure out the best way to go for me.

Also, I have been following your newsletters for over a year now, trying out some of your more easy to create recipes and all I have tried have been wonderfully delicious. Thank you for your hard work educating the public on nutrition as well as sharing your marvelous creations!

Yes, you can email the file to your kindle. It will look as beautiful as shown (unlike the kindle epub). Here is how:

      Thank you! πŸ™‚

        Hi Maria,
I bought 3 or 4 kindle ebook so I could have your recipie but I don’t have a kindle, I bought it to read on PC since it was the only way for me to see your recipie and I really really want to have them.

Now I am seeing that I can buy them for another device, I have a sony reader is there anyway for me to see it on my sony, I just bought them last week.

        • cemmerich says:

The new ebook format will work on any device. Thanks! πŸ™‚

          • Claire says:

I understand this but the one I bought does not work on my sony reader, and since I bought it last week is there anything you can do for me so I can have it on my sony otherwise I have to read it on my PC which is not always the best thing for me, I bought it because that was the only format available last week

          • cemmerich says:

Hmm, not sure why it wouldn’t work. It is just a pdf file. According to this, it should work:

“Q: Can I use any PDF file with my Reader Digital Book?

A: Yes, you can read PDF files on the Reader Digital Book. Copyright-protected PDF and ePub files acquired from other sources can be copied to and read on the PRS-505 Reader Digital Book from Sony using the latest eBook Library software and device firmware along with Adobe’s Digital Editions application (ADE 1.5).”

Awww man! Wish I had known about this before I bought the Kindle version of your Metabolism book a couple of weeks ago! πŸ™

  • Sylvia Anell says:

That is awesome, Maria! I’ve been following your blog for quite some time now, though I never actually left a comment. However, I’m an expat living in Egypt, so I was unable to get your books from Amazon before. Now I’ll just order them all!! Happy me :)))

    Thank you!!!!

    Kindest Regards,

  • Patti says:

Maria – which one of your books specifically details how to do your fat/protein days or is it something I will need to do as a consultation with you? Thank you, Patti

  • Carol says:

I bought your ebook version. I am learning a lot! Is there anyway to highlight text?

  • darcie says:

Hi Maria, I discovered your blog a couple of days ago & I am so excited to get my family and myself moving in this direction. I have already bought & read secrets to a healthy metabolism as well as your slow cooker & kids cookbooks! πŸ™‚ Question, I am going to go ahead & order swerve online b/c I wasn’t able to find them locally at whole foods but I do already have the “just like sugar”. I have your conversion chart but just want to make sure can I always substitute one for the other? would there be times that I would want to use stevia glycerate & erythritol for instance. Or could I just stick with “just like Sugar”…seems like there are some really great benefits to “just like sugar”. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

  • darcie says:

I just realized swerve is half the price! πŸ™‚

I wanted to know your thoughts behind phytates and nuts, being as you use a lot of almond flour in your recipes and if it takes away all your nutrients how is it healthy? http://www.marksdailyapple.com/nuts-and-phytic-acid/

    • cemmerich says:

I don’t think it is a huge issue, but that is one reason I like blanched almond flour. The dark outer part of the almond has most of the phytates in it. πŸ™‚

  • Noelle says:

Oh, I just bought 3 of your books (Healthy Metabolism, Healthy Eating – Kids, Healthy Eating – Slow Cooker) for the Kindle on July 10 and 12. While the content is fantastic, I was disappointed with the overall layout and presentation. Can a deal be made to purchase duplicate copies in the Universal ebook format? Thanks!

    • cemmerich says:

Sorry, Amazon handles that and I don’t really have a choice (about how much I charge or get with them). All my future books will be available in this new format from the start though. πŸ™‚

  • Amy says:

I downloaded your ebook (the better version) on my new android device last night but when I access the download it says can not open file. Do you know why this is and if necessary, is there a way to exchange and get the amazon version if I have to?? This is the invoice ID in case you need to look it up: 5ggze7akitqwiy1hueawqpi0008ksg8s8sscs8w Thanks!

    • cemmerich says:

Hi, Did you get this resolved? If not, email Craig here and he can help you. Thanks!

  • Kc says:

I just purchased the universal ebook for secrets to a healthy metabolism and there seems to be formatting errors that start on page 10 that make the text garbled. I have tried it on my computer and iPad and still see the same issue. I had planned on diving into it today but it’s very distracting. Can you think of why I would be experiencing this? It seems like an issue in the PDF file

    • cemmerich says:

I just checked and the file is fine. Try re-downloading it. Let me know if you are still having problems. πŸ™‚

    • cemmerich says:

There must have been a font problem that effected some people. I updated the file. Please re-download it. Thanks!

    Hi Maria,

Firstly, I have a great appreciation for your blog and am so happy I discovered it. I am very passionate about the healing properties of food and on-going cleansing, as I was severely injured in a car accident some time ago and spent 6 months in a hospital and over two years in physical therapy. I tried the standard American approach to healing, and needless to say, I failed miserably. After two years of hell on earth, I decided to take my pain management in to my own hands. Anyway, I say all that to ask how I should go about getting certified to become a health and wellness counselor? I have done extensive online research, but am still unsure which direction to take. Any advice will be very helpful! Thanks again, Maria! You are my inspiration.

I bought three of your ebooks about 5 days ago and added them to my Home screen (IPad ). They were really there on that day, I checked to make sure I could see the recipes. But today when I try to open them I get a message saying they are expired???

I’m not very computer savvy so I don’t know what to try next. If anyone knows, pls advise with simple step by step instructions. Thanks in advance. My daughter turned me on to your site, and I am ready to get going on a total revamp of my eating habits.

  • Kathy says:

I purchased your books earlier this year. Do you offer a free update for previously purchased books? Also how would I get the new versions?

    • cemmerich says:

Hi, Sorry, the ebooks from Amazon, Apple and Nook I don’t have any control over. If you message Craig here he can work something out for you if you want to update them all to the new versions. πŸ™‚
