I have really enjoyed doing my classes and meeting many of you either in my home or on the webinar. I will be doing one last class for this winter. This will be the last class I do until fall. This is the LAST chance to catch this great information. 🙂
The class is only $25. Pre-registration is required. For those of you who are out of the area there will be a Webinar option. The Webinar option will enable you to see the slides and hear me speak just like if you were in the room. Any questions you have will be answered (via the chat option in the webinar) You get a PDF of the slides to follow along with.
WHEN: Sunday March 24th from 5-7pm central
WHERE: My home in River Falls, WI (email Craig for more details)
DESCRIPTION:
Maximize Your Metabolism
Want to boost your metabolism, lose weight and feel better? In this two hour class you’ll get a better understanding of what your metabolism is, how you can accelerate it and just what foods will rev it up or put the brakes on it. Find out the biochemical problems with Low Fat Diets and why a breakfast of cereal and skim milk does not “do a body good.” Maria’s recipes and diet secrets have been featured on television programs, radio shows and magazine articles. She has also been interviewed many times on the importance of balancing your brain neurotransmitters and how that equates to weight loss success. The more sugar we eat, the more we crave it. If you start your day off with cereal and skim milk, you aren’t going to be able to walk by the candy jar in your office at 2pm!
Check out these to breakfast comparisons:
Option 1: 1 cup SMART START Cereal (1 cup skim milk and banana)
472 calories, 105 carbs, 4g fiber = 25.25 tsp of sugar in blood (IF you didn’t add any sugar!)
Option 2: 2 eggs, with 2 cups of mushrooms, peppers, onions
190 calories, 9 carbs, 3 fiber = 1.5 tsp of sugar in blood
Option 3: My homemade donut made with coconut flour
217 calories, 7.4 carbs, 4.6g fiber = 0.7 tsp of sugar in blood! To eat is a necessity; to eat ‘healthy’ is an art.

Thank you! I just did a quick check and looking at this recipe the only thing I would change is sub almond flour for the flour. 🙂

I would love to join your Webinar, but I will be on my Honeymoon that date.
Do you record your Webinars so we can buy and listen to them at a later date?
Thanks.
Kathy
Hi, yes, we will record this class and have it available after for viewing. You can just pay the paypal above and you will get access to the video (after the class) or wait if you like. 🙂
Hi Maria, my sister and I are currently reading your Healthy Metabolism book and really enjoying it – so much great information! One question we have that we can’t seem to find an answer for is if calories are important or not on this way of eating – do we need to count them? Is there a suggested daily range for women in their 30’s? Our overall goal is weight loss along with better health. Thanks for any advice you can give!
It depends on your health situation and goals. Some of my clients don’t have to count calories (just carbs) but some also need to count calories too if they are looking to lose a lot of weight or have other issues. 🙂
HI Maria,
I am loving your recipes and your books. I just modified a recipe for Avocado Chocolate pudding and used Swerve… but the package states that it has 5 carbs/tsp. That seems kind of carby to me (and for me — I keep my carbs at about 10-15 per day), but I love the taste! Any suggestions?
The carbs in Swerve come from Erythritol which is a sugar alcohol that is not digestible, so they don’t count against the total effective carbs. 🙂
Yummy those donuts look devine!
Thanks! 🙂
I am interested in your webinar but not sure if it will benefit me. I have been wheat/grain/sugar/low carb/high fat (Wheat Belly) for 2 months. My weight loss has stopped and I am trying to be patient but as I have about 50lbs to lose I am ready to get it going. Is this class or rank beginners or can others get good information from it? Thanks
Hi, I don’t think I have had anyone that hasn’t gotten something from it. There is a lot of information. 🙂
Thanks.
I’m so excited, I just purchased the webinar option. I have the Secrets to a Healthy Metabolism audiobook on my iPhone and I’m listening to it now. I also bought the kindle version of some of the cookbooks. I just figured the webinar would be the best place to start. 🙂 Can’t wait!
Val
Thank you!
How/where can I get the audio book? I have the book – but I would love to listen to it, while doing other things. Val where did you get yours? Maria, how can I get this? thanks!
Hi, It should show up in the itunes store or on Amazon (also on audible.com) here:
