I wanted to view the ‘Weight Loss Tips’ video but it says it is not available. Where can I find it?

  • Susie Carpanini says:

Hi Maria, the video isn’t available.

  • Chris says:

Can I still be successful if the liver is not grassfed.

  • Dori says:

    Hi Maria,
I have been having some issues since being keto. First, I am having some light headiness and sweaty. It isn’t hypoglycemia as I have been checking glucose. I have some issues with hormones. I went to the doctor and of course he is against keto and stated that I need to add carbs to my diet and that should fix things. Yes, I know what you are thinking. All this has done is make me gain weight. Second, I am very confused about the whole keto diet now. I have an appointment with endocrinologist the end of this month because I know cortisol, DHEA is very low. Help!

  • Angela says:

I needed this EXACT advice today! We did an “Eat Real Food Challenge” at my CrossFit gym & one of the points was to eat mostly veggies. I tried so hard to stick to their guidelines and earn points by adding lettuce, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, etc & I literally had 0 results! I am completely discouraged… Now that it’s over, I’m going to do this YOUR way and hopefully 5 weeks from now, it will be a completely different story!!

  • Susie Carpanini says:

    Thank you!

  • Claudia says:

Thanks for the reminders. I finished the cleanse 2 weeks ago.I have been able to stick with intermittent fasting and have been eating cheese, made some jalapeno c’corn”bread last night with almond and coconut flour as well as whipped cream.have been toasting nuts to have on top of my salads. Stepped on the scale this morning and very unhappy to see I have gained 6 pounds ! I was hoping to able to add these things back in but have more weight I need to lose! Also, i have been adding a packet of chocolate collagen powder to my morning black coffee this past week and read on the boards if has more than 40 calories it can break your fast.

Great video Maria!!..Chock full of useful tips and reminders to stick to the recipes for best results! Gotta ask…is the keto lifestyle contributing to the blinding brilliance of your teeth/enamel?! I would forego the veg forever if I thought that meat protein/fiber was a factor in the whitest, healthiest looking smiles!

  • Summer says:

Great tips Maria. I never stopped to think about the effect a small amount of nuts or Avocado would have on my results. Also extra broccoli, or cauliflower rice isn’t recommended. I heard you say that flax and chia aren’t beneficial. Are they filled with too much fat? All over Facebook people preach eat more fat eat more fat! These variables seem so confusing. Love your video out on the ocean. Thank you for the tips!

  • D says:

When fat loss is the goal re: fatty meat like rib eye and pork ribs do u still eat these meats or do you go for leaner cuts??

    • Maria Emmerich says:

If weight loss is the goal, dial fat down to make the body use more bodyfat for fuel. So don’t eat extra fat and trim some visible fat from meat. 🙂

  • Kathy says:

Thanks for the info! Any advice for a keto night shift worker – I’m hungry right before I go to bed in the am, but don’t want a full meal. Thanks!!

    • Maria Emmerich says:

I would try to shift your eating window to more of a “morning” eating with a first meal and then lunch and no dinner if possible.

  • Patrizia says:

Do you alternate between lifting weights and cardio? Or do you run everyday and lift weight alternatively? I’m trying not to overtrain and cause hunger to spike… so curious how you do it…

  • Sandra says:

What are your thoughts on Antarctic Krill Oil?

  • Deanna says:

How do you do your meal plans in the book, when your doing IF? Would I do just one meal? I love your recipes, I’m in the process of reading all your books, I feel like I am fat adapted, last meal is 5 PM first meal is around 1:30 in the afternoon.

Thank you for all the info sharing & hard work you have done for all of us. Life changing.

  • Patty Foltz says:

Thanks for the great weight loss tips Maria! Very helpful information. Can you do a segment on how to eat fat when you do not have a gallbladder?

    • Maria Emmerich says:

Thanks! The common bile duct, which still remains after the gallbladder is removed, takes over a lot of the function of the gallbladder when it is taken out. That is why you can have your gallbladder removed and not totally fall apart by not being able to digest any fats. Coconut oil is very good for someone without a gallbladder because it doesn’t require bile acids for absorption. All MCT (medium chain triglycerides) are like this. You can also use dandelion and ox bile to increase bile production. So eating this way is great for someone without a gallbladder.

      • Susan says:

I too have used the ox bile! What happens if you had a roux-n-y ?(stomach staple) and no gall bladder . No matter what I do the scall dosnt nudge and now my iron is at 3 and i am having infusions ? Help please
I signed up for 34.95 a month but don’t see where to ask this question . I have been keto and IF fora year
        Please help!!!

  • Claudia Anderson says:

Excellent video. I would like video on supplements. Way back I had you recommend supplements to me. Still, take most (2 years now) but my body seems to tell me that it doesn’t want anymore. So I have been doing only once a day or skipping. Only eat 2xday and seems like too much. The key ones I keep are HCL, Kelp, Potassium, K-2, and lots of others. Is there a protocol of how to slowly remove supplements from the keto diet? Are there certain ones I should never delete like potassium probably? Is there a way to tell if I delete one and is there a way to know when to add a supplement back in? Any other tips?

Beautiful scene with water behind you. Hope you do all weight loss related videos with that background and to slightly hear the slapping of the water.

  • Kacie says:

Hey Maria….I am trying to find the magnesium that you recommend. I did a search of the site but I am coming up short. I believe I need that added to my diet. Thank you in advance

  • April Carson says:

Thank goodness a friend showed me how to use Microsoft Clipper to add the beautiful photos from the Protein Sparing Cookbook PDF into the RealPlans. Now, as I’m setting it up for my big “do”, I see that the Grilled Chicken Breasts with Carolina BBQ Sauce shows drumsticks. Has this been changed since I bought mine? Is it okay to use dark meat for this? I am finally going to NOT CHANGE THE RULES!!!

  • Sadi says:

I love that you are doing a video on your paddle board in the ocean! You are adorable! Thanks for the tips! Love all of your work!

    Xo,
    Fellow Midwest keto fangirl 🙂

  • Jenny says:

If I’m trying to lose weight on keto, what kind of beef do you recommend? I know you and Craig have said chicken breast over dark meat, so for beef is it a leaner cut, then? I believe I still want some good fat.

    • Maria Emmerich says:

Yes, if weight loss is the goal, a leaner beef will help. Just balance the amount with the flavor (not too dry). An 85% ground beef is good.

  • tajhizyar says:

interesting ! Thanks for information !
