Keto and Type 1 Diabetes
Can Type 1 Diabetics eat Keto? Many times endocrinologists do not understand how Keto can be extremely helpful!
Keto can be amazing for helping Type 1 Diabetics control their glucose levels. In this YouTube video learn about the story of Kory, owner of the “Good Food Low Carb Cafe” in Madison Wisconsin, and how he was misdiagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and how that almost killed him.
Keto has helped control his type 1 diabetes and lower his A1c in a matter of weeks! He is also an extreme athlete who has done Iron-Man triathlons! He has quite an amazing story to tell!
In next week’s YouTube video we will look at all the yummy Keto options on his menu.

This was truly beautiful filmed! It could even be a documentary.
Thanks!
Wow! As an ex-athlete (now 58) this video and finding your site has been extremely enlightening. My wife (from Samoa)) was recently told she was borderline diabetic, which is what I first heard as a college athlete. After all these years it takes individuals caring about themselves and others to bring healing and life. GOD bless you!
Thanks!
Have you ever heard of the type of magnesium you recommend causing loose stools? After several months of being loose, I’ve finally figured out the magnesium supplements are the cause. I’ve been taking it about 2yrs with no problems up till recently. I see the negative effects of not taking it though–is there another way to get magnesium?
I know that your body will take as much as you need. You may have been deficient and your body was using it, but now you may be not as deficient. If you don’t feel well with it, try a lower dosage, instead of cutting it out altogether. People that take high vitamin C therapies actually discover their body tolerance levels (and requirements) through their loosening stools and diarrhea. I am no doctor, but this is the first place I would look, your tolerance/requirements may have changed over time.
Yes, my guess too is that she now has enough.
It is possible. You could also try reducing the amount. It may be that your body has what it needs now for magnesium. 🙂
Thank you both; I’ll try cutting back first and see how it goes 🙂
Hi Maria and Craig,
We are Keto and we follow you for a long time, we did not know how long but many years. We cook with your book each day, thank you for all your good work!
We have a question for you two. When we read your book, we realized how well you understand the body.
We went to see our doctor, we choose her because of her holistic approach. Recently we went for our son (7 years almost 8) he has some eczema like spot on his shoulder.
She advise us to be body typed for our food choice!!!
We never wanted to be body typed because this do not making sense for us.
What is your take on body typed?
Do you know what we can do for the eczema?
Do you have some good probiotic for children?
What about multi vitamin for children, do you have good brand for kids?
Thank you very, very much
Zero science behind the body type diet. Bad advise. Keto is great for excema and kids. We like these probiotics for kids:

And this multi is good:
