    Actually, there are 4 macro nutrients, but one of them is not really much found in our diets. Just like all the other macro nutrients, if we need to make more, we can break down the parts of the other 3 macro nutrients. (except for the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids).
    Nucleic acids are the 4th macro nutrient, but its really hard to get enough of them to do anything nutritionally. Nucleic acids have parts of all 3 of the other nutrients, would probably be a perfect food, just hard to get enough to do any good.

    Sorry, Science Teacher just couldn’t let that go.

    Excellent live video! Very informative. I too work in medicine and it’s so frustrating to witness the poor nutrition, the obesity epidemic in patients and in healthcare workers! Western medicine continues to treat with prescriptions vs healthy food and healthy lifestyle. It’s all driven by money and greed – not on sound advice regarding lifestyle and nutrition. Trillions of dollars could be shaved off the healthcare deficit if good nutrition was advised and practiced.

    I try to get into ketosis everyday but I have these sweet cravings that I find extremely hard to fight off. So I end up eating sweet things all the time so I can never reach keto.

    I have keto breath. How can I fix it?

      That only happens in the beginning until you get into lipolysis.

        Thank you for answering my question. Other sources say to up carbs but I want to follow your advice and be patient. I bought your Supplement 101 course and loved it! I get energized when I take magnesium too! I started to take my magnesium in the am. Could I take a mix of different magnesiums? Like citrate and l-threonate.

I always put your books on my wish list for holiday gifts. My next request is going to be Keto-adapt. And possible keto-cleanse. Although, I have been eating keto for about 2 years, I still struggle. I have stopped loosing weight since I found other low carb sites with recipes. Ugh. I should of not gone there. Lol

    Thank you for the video – super encouraging! I received one of your cookbooks recently and you had mentioned that coconut flour is not great to use if you need to lose weight. At least I hope I’m remembering that correctly. Could you explain why that would be? Thank you!

    I personally think she looks like fabulously fit person who has learned how to make her body work for her in an incredible way. Maybe you are just new to the ketogenic lifestyle.
    She has two small children she raises with love and tenderness. Has a great husband who adores her. Cooking fabulous meals every night. Writing books. Touring to health conferences. Staying highly active… I cannot even comprehend the above comment.
    I don’t see concern. I see Malice.
    Perhaps I am taking this all wrong but I almost laughed out loud at how far off you are.

    I am doing keto for weightloss (100#). I used your formula to get my macro amounts. My question is, do I really need to meet the fat macro as I want my body to eat the visceral fat. Is that in the macro equation?

    Whoa-inappropriate!!! First of all, not the place to bring something like this up especially if you actually believe it to be true!

    But beyond that, people’s bodies come in ALL shapes and sizes! I know people who are naturally thin like Maria and they do not have an ED. Lots of runners have a similar body type…and she runs!

    You CANNOT make such a grand statement just from a few pictures, you do not even know her.
