We all have the issues of dodging “food pushers” but does anyone have “alcohol pushers?”
When I stopped drinking about 10 years ago everyone assumed I was pregnant. But when I have something like Virgil’s Zero in my hand no one bugs me.
Clients often tell me “My husband will NEVER give up his beer!” But let me start with saying that Craig was a beer connoisseur. He even brew his own beer and wine… and it was amazingly good!
He went to beer tastings, wore beer shirts… he loved beer. I never ever forced him to eat keto nor give up alcohol. I just worried about myself and my body, but with time he wanted the energy and healthy body was demonstrating.
It was ‘baby steps’ but now he now prefers wearing bacon shirts!
They have tasty flavors such as Cola, Root Beer, Cream Soda, Cherry, and a Dr. Pepper flavor. The Dr. Pepper was Craig’s favorite and mine was Cream Soda! It has been a LONG time since I have enjoyed that flavor!

I recently came across Virgil’s Zero line of drinks from a low carb message board. I was able to find Virgil’s at The Fresh Market and Kroger’s. I love the Zero Root Beer but I haven’t found the Zero Cream Soda. I will keep looking though when I go to a larger city.
I had been drinking Zevia, but Virgil’s is soooo much better. The other plus is Virgil’s comes in glass bottles, so no aluminum cans.
For KETO OS, it says no soda. Does that include the Stevia sweetened sodas like Virgils and Blue Sky?
They mean sugar sodas and sodas with artificial sweeteners. These natural sweetened ones are fine. 🙂
I see my local Wegman’s carries this! Yay! “healthified” floats, here we come!
Hi Maria, I am on my 4th day of Advanced Keto 30 day program. As a part of my supplement regimen for Depression and Anxiety you recommended Niacin. The link in my program was not working so I purchased Now Foods 500mg Niacin and I’m experiencing a major flush. Is this normal? Should I stop taking it?

I love wine. That’s my problem I guess since I’ve given up carbs, sweets, gluten, grains and still struggle with weight loss.
I would drink the cream soda & Dr Pepper one for sure. I wish I could find them in a STORE near me. I don’t want to buy this from Amazon and have to wait for it
Sorry Off Topic, 🙂 I wasn’t sure where else to ask 🙂 My kiddos are starting the KD for neurological reasons and I was curious how to make an emergency kit. One lesser emergency snacks for in between soccer games etc but more importantly the kind you make for earthquakes/floods/tornados. I searched the blog but didn’t see a post. 🙂 Thank you so much for all you do to help families like ours regain health!
Anything with coconut oil will last much longer on the shelf as it is very stable. I have coconut oil that lasts (opened) for many months (even a year or more). Otherwise, canned goods, etc.
I found this virgils at fresh market. I am not a big root beer fan, but boy was it delicious. it was so nice to be able to open a bottle up and drink something, without having to prepare. definitely will drink this as a treat. thanks so much maria. love it.

Do you suggest eating before an early morning workout? A full breakfast or just a light snack or nothing????
The best fat burning is when you are keto and work out on empty stomach. 🙂
