My Ultimate Morning Self-Care Routine (Featuring the BON CHARGE)
Mornings have become the foundation of my day.
While waking up at 3:00 a.m. might sound extreme to some people, I’ve found that having those quiet hours before the rest of the world wakes up gives me the time and space to take care of myself—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Instead of rushing through the morning, I intentionally create a routine that helps me feel energized, focused, and ready for whatever the day brings. It’s become one of my favorite forms of self-care, and I can’t imagine starting my day any other way.
Here’s what my ultimate morning routine looks like:
3:00 a.m. — Wake Up & Hydrate
The first thing I do is drink a glass of water with electrolytes.
After several hours of sleep, my body is craving hydration, and it helps me wake up naturally. I don’t need coffee when I have my LMNT electrolytes to help energize me!
I avoid looking at my phone and computer right away. Giving myself a few quiet moments before the notifications start rolling in helps me begin the day with a calmer mindset.

While I’m wearing the mask, I use those 10–20 minutes intentionally. You can typically find me in the kitchen in the early morning hours testing recipes and prepping meals for my boys. I know it may sound crazy, but I feel my most productive at 4am!

Movement
After my red light therapy session, I like to get my body moving.

I’ve noticed that even a short workout helps boost my energy and sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. You won’t find me skipping a workout no matter where I am. My daily workout has become a non-negotiable in my daily self-care ritual.
Nourishing My Body
Breakfast is another important part of my routine.
I focus on eating a meal with plenty of protein and nutrients that will keep me satisfied and energized throughout the morning. Taking the time to fuel my body well makes a huge difference in my strength, focus and productivity. One of my favorite meals is a pan seared filet mignon and scallops from Butcherbox with my famous Carnivore Steak Sauce. Yum!
Skincare & Getting Ready
After my workout, I finish my skincare routine and get ready for the day.

Now that I’ve completed my morning self-care routine I’m ready to tackle the day!
I find that when I honor my self-care ritual I am able to flow seamlessly through the workday. Whether I’m recording podcasts and interviews, filming recipe tutorials, writing, coaching clients, or speaking all over the world I know I can accomplish it all with ease when I take care of myself FIRST!
Why My Morning Routine Matters
People often ask how I stay motivated to wake up so early.
The truth is, I don’t wake up at 3:00 a.m. because I have to. I do it because those quiet hours are a gift I give myself. Before emails, social media, errands, and responsibilities begin competing for my attention, I’ve already done something meaningful for my health, my mindset, and my well-being.
Not every morning is perfect, and that’s okay. What matters most is creating a routine that supports the life you want to build. For me, that includes hydration, movement, nourishing food, intentional planning, and taking a few peaceful minutes each morning with my BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask.
