High Protein Blender Cake (Flourless Carnivore Cake)
It is my dear friend Halle Berry’s birthday on August 14th!
As many of you know, I had the great pleasure of making friends with the beautiful Halle Berry and she wrote the forward for my Sugar Free Kids cookbook!
I wanted to write a very special recipe for Halle Berry’s birthday so my boys and I created a High Protein Blender Cake to celebrate!
Halle Berry is the sweetest and if you make my High Protein Blender Cake, make sure to post a photo and tag Halle so she can see how much we all adore her! I know it will make her day!
There is something incredibly satisfying about a dessert that tastes like cake but also helps you reach your protein goals. Traditional cakes are typically loaded with refined flour, sugar, and empty calories that leave you hungry again not long after eating. A high-protein blender cake changes that by transforming dessert into something that is both delicious and nourishing.
One of the ingredients that makes this recipe truly special is Equip Prime Protein. Made from grass-fed beef protein isolate, Equip Prime delivers complete protein in a creamy, dessert-friendly form that works beautifully in baked recipes. Instead of simply adding protein, it helps create a moist texture, increases satiety, and makes every slice far more nutritious than a traditional cake.
Why Equip Prime Works So Well in Blender Cakes
One of the challenges with baking using protein powders is maintaining a soft, tender texture. Many protein powders can make baked goods dry, rubbery, or chalky.
Equip Prime Protein is different.
Because it contains naturally occurring collagen and gelatin from grass-fed beef, it blends exceptionally well into baked recipes. The result is a cake that stays moist, soft, and satisfying while delivering significantly more protein than a traditional flour-based dessert.
Unlike many protein powders that taste artificial, Equip is designed to have a naturally rich flavor that complements vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, fruit, and other dessert ingredients.
Chart: Traditional Cake vs. High-Protein Blender Cake
| Feature | Traditional Cake | High-Protein Blender Cake |
|---|---|---|
| Protein | Low | High |
| Refined Sugar | High | Sugar-Free |
| Satiety | Short-lived | Much more filling |
| Complete Protein | Minimal | Yes |
| Blood Sugar Impact | Higher | Lower (depending on ingredients) |
| Nutrient Density | Lower | Higher |
Complete Protein Supports Your Entire Body
Protein is far more than a muscle-building nutrient. Every day your body uses amino acids to repair tissues, produce enzymes, manufacture hormones, support the immune system, and maintain healthy skin, hair, bones, and connective tissue.
Equip Prime provides approximately 21 grams of complete protein per serving, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids your body cannot produce on its own.
Those amino acids help support:
- Muscle maintenance
- Recovery after exercise
- Healthy skin
- Strong hair and nails
- Bone health
- Enzyme production
- Hormone production
- Immune function
Instead of eating dessert that contributes very little nutritionally, every slice becomes another opportunity to nourish your body.
A Better Protein-to-Calorie Ratio
One of the biggest advantages of using Equip Prime is improving the protein density of the recipe.
Traditional cakes often contain hundreds of calories while providing only a few grams of protein. Most of those calories come from refined flour and sugar.
A blender cake built around beef protein powder flips that equation.
More of the calories come from complete protein, making the dessert substantially more satisfying while supporting lean muscle maintenance during weight loss.
This is especially helpful for people following a ketogenic, carnivore, or high-protein lifestyle.
Naturally Rich in Collagen and Gelatin
Equip Prime isn’t just another protein powder.
Because it is made from grass-fed beef, it naturally contains collagen and gelatin that contribute to the texture of baked goods.
These naturally occurring proteins help create:
- Softer crumb
- Better moisture retention
- Improved texture
- Greater stability during baking
Instead of producing a dry protein cake, they help create a dessert that tastes remarkably close to a traditional cake.
Helps Support Lean Muscle During Fat Loss
One of the biggest mistakes people make while dieting is reducing calories without consuming enough protein.
Without adequate protein, the body may lose lean muscle along with body fat.
Adding a high-protein dessert like blender cake makes it easier to reach daily protein goals while still enjoying something sweet.
Combined with resistance training, adequate protein helps preserve lean body mass during weight loss, keeping your metabolism stronger while improving body composition.
Naturally Dairy-Free
Many high-protein baking recipes rely on whey protein.
While whey works well for many people, others experience digestive discomfort or prefer to avoid dairy.
Equip Prime offers a dairy-free alternative that still provides complete protein while working exceptionally well in baking recipes.
That makes it an excellent option for individuals looking for a simple animal-based protein without relying on milk-derived ingredients.
Blends Beautifully With Countless Flavors
One of the reasons blender cakes are so versatile is that they can easily be customized.
Equip Prime pairs well with flavors such as:
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
- Cinnamon
- Pumpkin spice
- Lemon
- Coconut
- Strawberry
- Blueberry
- Banana extract
- Espresso
This allows you to create dozens of cake variations while keeping the nutritional benefits the same.

Makes Healthy Eating Feel Sustainable
One of the biggest reasons diets fail is because people feel deprived.
Healthy eating should include foods you genuinely enjoy.
A high-protein blender cake allows you to enjoy dessert while still supporting your nutrition goals. Instead of viewing cake as a “cheat meal,” it becomes another opportunity to fuel your body with complete protein.
That makes consistency much easier, and consistency is what produces lasting results.
Quick, Easy, and Family Friendly
Blender cakes are popular because they require very little effort.
Simply blend the ingredients, pour the batter into a baking dish, and bake.
There is no complicated mixing process, no multiple bowls, and very little cleanup.
That convenience makes this recipe perfect for:
- Breakfast
- Afternoon snacks
- Post-workout meals
- Healthy desserts
- Meal prep
- Lunchboxes
Having a protein-rich cake ready to enjoy throughout the week makes reaching your nutrition goals much easier.
Final Thoughts
Equip Prime Protein transforms a simple blender cake into a nutrient-dense dessert that supports far more than your sweet tooth. Its complete protein helps nourish muscles, bones, skin, hair, and connective tissue, while its naturally occurring collagen and gelatin create a moist, tender texture that rivals traditional cake.
Instead of empty calories, every slice delivers meaningful nutrition. Whether you’re following a ketogenic, carnivore, or high-protein lifestyle—or simply looking for healthier dessert options—a high-protein blender cake made with Equip Prime lets you enjoy cake while supporting your long-term health and fitness goals.

- 5 large eggs
- 2 cups milk powder
- 6 scoops Chocolate Equip Protein Powder USE CODE MARIA20 to save!
- 2 teaspoons stevia glycerite (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Redmond Real salt
- 3/4 cup very hot water or hot coffee
CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
- 1/2 cup powdered allulose (plus 1/2 teaspoon stevia glycerite if desired)
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300F (if using allulose) 325F (if using erythritol) and grease a 9 inch silicone bundt pan really well with butter (or coconut oil).
- Put the natural sweetener, butter and eggs into a blender and pulse until well-blended and smooth. Add the milk powder, Equip, stevia glycerite if using, extract, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Pour the hot water over the top (it will start to bubble as it hits the baking powder and soda) and pulse, scraping down the sides of the blender once or twice, until smooth.1 1/4 cup powdered allulose, 1/2 cup butter, 5 large eggs, 2 cups milk powder, 6 scoops Chocolate Equip Protein Powder, 2 teaspoons stevia glycerite, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon Redmond Real salt, 3/4 cup very hot water
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until cracked on top and springy to the touch. Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool complete before glazing. TIP: To cool, I suggest placing the bundt pan in an ice bath for 10 minutes. This way, the cake won't break or crack when removing it from the pan.
- To make the chocolate glaze, in a medium shallow bowl, whisk together the powdered sweetener, melted butter and cocoa powder. Add the heavy cream and vanilla and whisk to combine.1/2 cup powdered allulose, 4 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons heavy cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Drizzle the glaze over cooled cake.

Maria! This looks AMAZING! Could we use heavy cream powder instead of the milk powder? Thank you!
Thanks! I haven’t tried that but I think it would probably work.
