BluBlox SALE

Don’t you wish sleep was as easy as it is for a puppy?

Most clients I consult on the phone tell me that they have issues with sleep. Either they only get 6 hours of sleep a night or they toss and turn all night.

Sleeping less affects changes in our basal metabolic rate. When you are sleeping, your body produces human growth hormone; the stuff celebrities are now injecting to look young and feel young. Human growth hormone helps preserve our muscle and keep our metabolism firing at night. So an inadequate amount of sleep will keep this highly desired hormone from kicking in.

When you get a good night’s rest your body has adequate time to repair and rejuvenate.

As we have talked about many times, blocking the blue light (and certain green light wavelength) is so important for allowing your body to naturally generate melatonin, our bodies natural sleep hormone. It is important to get a quality pair of blue blocking glasses to ensure you block all the wavelength of blue and green light that can interfere with melatonin production.

Too much blue light will also cause issues with cortisol!

The holidays can be a very stressful time! This year is even more stressful with the unknown of Covid-19. If you suffer from chronic stress, cortisol levels can become too high. If cortisol stays elevated for a prolonged period of time, it can have an array of negative effects on the body, including high blood sugar levels, weight gain, sleep problems, depression and more. Cortisol is responsible for uncontrollable weight gain for a few reasons. It increases the rate of insulin production and blood sugar issues. Cortisol increases appetite and causes cravings for sweets and refined fat foods, such as chips.

Luckily, there are a few different ways you can naturally lower cortisol!

Melatonin is an antagonist to cortisol. Melatonin can’t be produced when we are exposed to blue light.

Melatonin is an antioxidant, it helps us sleep better, it helps us recover. One of the ways to ensure that you have proper melatonin levels at night is to remove artificial blue light in the evening. If you are like me and use computers or television in the evening, then take steps to block out the blue light by wearing BLUblox glasses!

Many cheaper blue blocking glasses will only block blue light making them less effective. BLUblox block all wavelength of blue and green light that have been shown in studies to interfere with the bodies natural melatonin production. And many cheaper glasses you don’t want to been seen wearing around your friends. BLUblox not only block out all the right wavelengths, but they are stylish too! They come in many styles and shapes.

Maria, it’s a major coincidence I was looking at some of these glasses. Is it worth getting the ones for using the computer? Interesting enough several eye doctors claim these glasses are a waste of money, and that blue light does not cause any eye or health issues. This must be a sign I need to try them out!
