Keto Comfort Foods
I am so excited to announce the release of my latest cookbook, Keto Comfort Foods. Food is pleasure, food is love. Food should also be nourishing, and that’s why I was so excited to write this book. It is filled with pleasure, love, and nourishing foods. It isn’t a bad thing to enjoy food. My goal is for you to fall in love with ketogenic foods so that you can nourish your soul and your body. I have had the pleasure of writing numerous cookbooks, and I will never be able to pick a favorite; however, I think this book was the most fun to write. I really enjoyed reminiscing about my favorite foods from my former unhealthy diet and pondering how to recreate such favorites as Bomba Burgers and Death by Chocolate Cheesecake as keto dishes. What I find extraordinary is that I enjoy the taste of these recipes even more than the traditional carb- and sugar-filled versions! AND as a BONUS… most cookbooks have 110-125 recipes and this book is FILLED with over 175 recipes to satisfy your taste buds! My editor made me cut about 20 recipes because the book was too big!
As I wrote Keto Comfort Foods I pondered why food is comforting and I was reminded of my trip to Bourbon Street. I had the great pleasure to travel to New Orleans for business in 2011 and was taken to eat at an amazing restaurant on Bourbon Street called Muriel’s. Our group was seated not in the main dining area, but in a haunted private dining room! I had the étouffée, on which my Crawfish Étouffée recipe (page 246) is based. The kitchen staff also prepared special Swerve-sweetened sugar-free desserts for our table. A lot of the people I was dining with were locals. They asked me how I stay keto and said that it is extremely difficult to do in New Orleans because the local motto is “live to eat,” not “eat to live,” which I found quite interesting.
We’re often told to regard food as fuel and nothing else, but food is more than that. Even at the young age of two and a half, my son demonstrated how food is more than just nourishment. He would jump into his booster chair, buckle in, and start to sing. It wasn’t because he was getting chicken nuggets, boxed macaroni and cheese, or a bowl of ice cream. In one video I have of him, I was making my Meatballs with Brown Gravy (page 216), and he was singing at the top of his lungs simply because it was mealtime. We shouldn’t be ashamed of enjoying our food. I do not want to live off of salads and grilled chicken breasts and you do not have to!
My favorite chapter in Keto Comfort Foods is the Grown Up Kids where I have recipes from my childhood made into yummy comforting keto recipes that will not only satisfy your taste buds, they will bring back memories; I love how flavors can trigger so many emotions.
Keto Comfort Foods book is filled with amazing recipes that will make you feel satisfied on your ketogenic journey. Keto isn’t a diet to me or my family; it is a way of life. We enjoy feeling this amazing, so we never want to veer away from ketogenic foods. We aren’t tempted by traditional mashed potatoes or wheat-filled breads. I think the main reason we are never enticed is that I’m always on the hunt for new ways to make ketogenic foods even more comforting and delicious.

Thank you!
Just pre-ordered!
Thanks!
The new cookbook looks amazing. I can’t wait to get it.
Thank you!
Are the recipes heavy in dairy? I can’t tolerate it and I find many of the keto cookbooks have a lot of dairy making it hard to follow most of the recipes. I’m hoping there are dairy free options and replacements in the book.
This is all about comfort foods, so yes there is dairy in it. 🙂
How much of your keto comfort foods cookbook is dairy free, if any?-Christy
About 100 of the recipe are dairy free or have a dairy free option. 😉
I preordered on Amazon yesterday!! Very excited!!
Thanks!

Will there be a kindle version? I really prefer books.

Oh wow it looks so beautifull! And tasty too, of course 🙂 Right now I’m avoiding dairy and nuts and staying really low carb for healing and weight loss, but in some months, when I can enjoy it, I’ll order it for sure. Maybe in September for my birthday!
Thanks!
I have had mine pre-ordered on Amazon since March 15th. The estimated delivery date is May 2nd!!! I’m so excited about this book; can’t wait to get it.

Ordered! I am hoping my family will continue to start eating keto with me (I am pretty new too) – so far they love the sloppy joes, I think this book will have lots in it for all of us. Thanks Maria!
Awesome! Thanks!

I began the Keto journey about 6 weeks ago and have two of your cookbooks. Is there an option for a better bread in this cookbook? It is a major comfort food for my family and we do not like the Keto bread recipe.
I do have a flatbread in this book you might like. 🙂
Ordered through Amazon last week! So looking forward to it!
Thanks!
This cookbook looks just as inviting as your others! I will have to wait awhile but I will get it.
Any chance there will be a book signing?
