Apigenin (from Chamomile)

Apigenin is a flavonoid found in chamomile, parsley, and celery. It works by binding to benzodiazepine receptors (like Valium, but naturally). It enhances GABA activity and promotes drowsiness without sedation. It is great for helping people to fall asleep faster. If anyone suffers with nighttime anxiety, it also is very effective at reducing that. It is very gentle, safe, and effective in sensitive individuals.
