Love to hear encouragement to stay keto when the rest of your family is not
Keto. I’ve been keto since June but got off track during home renovations. Stopped cooking. Maybe I need to buy Quick and Easy Ketogenic Cooking?

Thanks for this! I have been doing keto for 1 year and have gained about 7 pounds. Not until finding your video last week have I increased protein to 80 g /day and limited fats to 80-100g, and so, have been able to keep my calories within a reasonable range 1200-1400 cal/day. (I am 5’4″ and moderately active, 164 pounds.) The advice I was following told me to eat until I was satisfied. But free eating does not work for me because often I don’t feel full, and I eat too many calories and too much fat. Increasing protein helped with satiety. Also I have been trying to keep calories down to a certain range. (The same range I found using your keto calculator:) Thanks for that too!)
Can you please do a video– focusing on tips for someone in keto for 1 year or longer? Do we still supplement electrolytes long term, or just during the initial keto flu stages? What does a day of eating keto long term look like (in terms of getting your micro-nutrients)?
    Thanks for all you do!

Why does everyone else seem to say it is difficult to get potassium on a keto diet? When my app tracks potassium in my meat, it seems to call short too. Is there somewhere I can find more info on this?

    • Maria Emmerich says:

You might just need to add more beef or a bit of spinach as side salad. Tomato sauce. chronometer is a good tool for accurate info.

Just entered 8 ounce steak and got 890mg potassium. An entire bonana is only 400mg (along with a ton of sugar). 🙂

    Hi Maria and Craig,

We would like to know which brand of magnesium glycinate chelate are good?

    Thanks

    Simon
