I’m currently reading “Keto” and I’m enjoying it so much! Although I have several of your other books, I didn’t really “get” keto until I started reading “Keto”. Thank you!

  • BitsyK says:

What book do you give recommendation on what to eat during protein sparing? Craig mentioned a book but never showed the title?

  • Lisa Toritto says:

Loved it! You should include some protein sparing menus in your books like the meal plans in the cleanse book.. I could use some advice as to what to eat on sparing days..

With Keto Cleanse, do you have to drink anything with coffee, tea or tea extract in it? Don’t want to order it if I have to drink any of those things. Thank you

  • Lara says:

I really appreciate your videos and how you explain everything. Thank you!

    Hi Maria,

I have looked at a couple of your books at the book store….do any of your books have servings for just 4? So many of your recipes serve 11 or 8, way to much for two people…some could be cut in half, but many cannot…..we are not big on leftovers….running out of ideas for us seniors on a fixed income…..Thanks for your response…Nancy

    Maria,
I need help! My husband and I have been on KETO for 15 months and love it!! But, my husband has stage 4 kidney disease and that’s with less than one kidney and the drs only allow him 65 grams or 8 oz of protein a day and no more than 85 gram. How do I do this? They say the kidney works extra hard to process protein. Can you help me here?? They would rather he eat sugar (fruits) and carbs than protein. UGGGHHH! I’m really struggling with this. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t like adding the fruits as he is diabetic (but controlled, no meds) but he has to eat something.

Thanks for listening! Ask and ye shall receive! I asked and here is the video! Reading more about this in your book “KETO”! Appreciate all you two do! Craig, I hope your healing and recovery is going well for you. Lots of good thoughts coming your way!

I am enjoying the information you have provided in your books and the online news letters. I have learned a lot regarding my body and how it function. However, I have a question regarding smoothies; are there any Keto smoothies recipe available, which include protein? Also are there any types of syrup recipe I can explore. I tried your recipe and was unsuccessful. I did order the Yacon syrup, which is very costly, but worth the expense. I am getting burn out on the eggs, and wanted to know as well; will it make any difference if use egg white opposed to the eggs/w yolk. I’m just trying follow by doctor direction when it comes to the congestive heart failure, and want to make sure I am healing and not damaging the progress. I really enjoy the information and I hope you can help me with my inquiries. I have a few of your books and look to purchase many more.

Again, thank you. You are heaven sent, and an answer to my prayers.

I don’t recommend drinking calories. Chewing registers leptin better. Try switching it up with maybe my breakfast chili, etc. 🙂

  • Nathalie☀️ says:

Hi Maria, what do think about being zero carb all the time?

    • Maria Emmerich says:

I think if done right with eating nose to tail (organ meats) and collagen that it can be a great lifestyle. 🙂

I’m just finishing reading Keto and I love it! Absolutely the most comprehensive book I’ve read on the subject yet. I regularly do IF and some extended fasts but have not yet tried the Protein Sparing Modified Fast method. I will soon! Thank you Maria and Craig for sharing your wealth of knowledge on this WOE and all of it’s health benefits. You are changing peoples lives!

Maria, I am 2 Years post partum with twin girls. Prior to being pregnant I was very successful and had no trouble keeping a keto lifestyle. Now, maybe from energy or exhaustion, I’m not really sure, every time I try Keto postpartum I seem to breakdown when I get the “keto flu”. I just can’t get through it as I just don’t have the extra energy I’m this season of life. Would changing things up and do what you talked about in your video help to avoid the “keto flu”? Also, I don’t recal seeing anything, but once I loose the weight I want to have one more baby. Is there a plan for the three trimesters of pregnancy and postpartum nursing? Also, adding content on multiple pregnancy keto needs would be amazing! I’d love to see that. Thanks so much!!

  • Sue Florer says:

Flor GREAT meat for your fasts, I recommend the meat from Together Farms in Mondovi Wi!! This is a small family (just like the Emmerichs 🙂 farm that produces superb grass fed beef and pork. I purchased a whole pig and half a cow last fall and it really is the best meat we have ever eaten. The owners genuinely care for their animals and work hard to produce healthy meat. And they even have a delivery route to Eau Claire, River Falls and the twin cities! Check them out!
I am enjoying my PSMF days – very satisfying. Thank you Craig and Maria!

  • Cheryl says:

I’ve been reading and learning a lot from Keto. Can you recommend an L-Carnitine supplement? I’ve looked at several which are giant pills and the liquid supplements seem to have 4+g of carbs.

  • Desiree Fenniman says:

Love your books, blog and videos! I have a question regarding protein goals. I have meal planned for the week and notice my protein seems low, for example, one day my calories are 1250, F106g, P48g, C16g. Most days are 50-60g. I weigh 130 with 26% lean mass. I believe I calculated to need more protein than what I have. How do I add more protein without “messing up” my other macros? Collagen? I workout three days a week, Cardio and moderate /heavy lifting. I want to make sure I’m supplying my body correctly to thrive. I am starting your 30 day cleanse and you have it mapped out beautifully, however, I had to swap a meal or two due to work/food dislikes, etc. I tried my best to swap out meals (work schedules/food preferences, etc). I chose meals with similar macros.

    • Maria Emmerich says:

Yes, you need more protein in that case. I would shoot for at least 75g of protein a day. Just focus on eating the animal protein first. Make it the focus of the plate. 🙂
