I have this wonderful cook book – thanks good it is available in my language (German).
But, there are no waffles in 🙁 – where can I find the recipe for it?
One of our favorite are the zucchini muffins. Hmm, they are on the table for dinner today, too.
    Love

I have made Keto bread 2 x now and fell both times. I also didn’t see egg yokes in the recipe I printed from website. Used 12 eggs from website recipe. Recipe from 30-day Cleanse w eggs was only about 1″ high???
I had massive air pockets in first one so put spatula in like slicing in bread pan to get air out before baking. Worked a little. How to get it to look like bread? Falls to fill only half of bread pan when done. Used your JayRobb whey soooo????
Fried my strips of bread for Umami Burgers and tasted fine.
Also can you toast this type of bread?
    Thank you in advance.

I have always made it just fine. Eggs at room temp and really let it beat/mix a long time. Hope that helps! And, it is supposed to be egg white protein, not egg protein, Just watch for that.

    • Maria Emmerich says:

Whey is dairy and isn’t allowed on the cleanse. Egg white protein will help it not fall. But if any water touches the whites it will fall.

  • Karen maples says:

where di you find the receipe for the bread?

  • Jeanne Trespicio says:

There is nothing Maria has written that isn’t worth its weight in gold. That is a literally a gold ‘gem’

  • Janinemarie Jacoby says:

I tried the Atkins diet and I had screaming leg pains because it was so much protein can you eat fruit and vegetables on the ketogenic diet I need to get on it because of seizures and a pituitary tumor and my health is not good? I was thinking of getting the 30 day keto cleanse this question is for Maria I’ve been following your website now for about a year?Thank you!

  • Janinemarie Jacoby says:

Also,I don’t drink milk but I don’t want to give up cheese or homemade yogurt ? Can you still eat these?

  • Ilisa Ailts says:

YUM! I am curious, do you replace eggs and nightshades anywhere that I can learn about that? I have to keep them out due to my Lyme diagnosis and my tendency to have my cravings go up and mood go down when I eat them 🙁 Thanks for all you do Craig and Maria (BTW, I have ordered 3 of these books. One as a gift and 2 for me to lend out and hopefully use when I figure out the egg and nightshades part).

    • Maria Emmerich says:

      Thank you for your support!

There are tons of recipes in this massive book and many are without eggs and nightshades. ❤

  • Jillian Jasinski says:

Could you provide a resource for someone who leans toward a vegetarian diet (including eggs)?

You are my Keto Bestest friend!!!
I follow you on every platform available and it’s always awesome to see you live.
I love your cookbooks and use them both nearly every single day.
Your ketogenic lifestyle training books are filled with the most brilliant and easily understood information about the ketogenic diet that I’ve found anywhere!
Simply put, you’re pretty awesome inside and out! It’s a pleasure to follow you!

Maria, I recently purchased your new book and I love it! I’m very excited to get started. I’m a little confused on the meals though. Am I only having breakfast and one of the other two meals?

  • Kafka Fuller says:

Love the new cookbook – the pics are beautiful and the introduction provides excellent information. Maria, we love your story and your willingness to share your life experiences. However, I’ve tried 2 recipes so far and both have been utter flops (and a waste of expensive ingredients). The cabbage rosti (in the 30 day cleanse cookbook) completely fell apart in the pan and became a scrambled egg cabbage dish – maybe a little coconut flour would help hold it together until it crisps up enough to flip it? This morning I tried to make the chai sugar candy (in the ketogenic cookbook). After frustrating attempts watching it set and shifting the pan around to get the coconut oil to reabsorb, I finally put it the freezer to harden. I followed your recipe exactly, but it is now a big sticky mess in the pan and looks like it’s baked right into the foil. I’m not sure how to adjust these 2 recipes to make them actually work for me, but it is very disappointing. Any suggestions?

  • Margaret says:

I love this book. I have done the 30 day cleanse twice already and I’m on my third month of it. Before I started the 30 day cleanses I had been keto for 2 months. However, my labs came back today and my cholesterol high (265), my HDL is high (103), my LDL is high (136), granulocyte is low (40), but my triglycerides are 79. Before I started keto, all of my levels were normal. I have also been very tired lately. I love the keto diet but I am wondering if it might not be a good fit for me? Are there any adjustments you recommend so I can stay on the diet and fix my labs? Thanks! 🙂

Cholesterol is not the enemy. Inflammation is. Watch this video:

If you really want to know your heard disease risk, look at CAC score. Calcium score is a cheap (usually $100) and easy test that measures the plaque buildup in your coronary arteries. The score given correlates to heart disease (and overall death risk) by orders of magnitude better that total cholesterol every does. Total cholesterol is only a couple percent correlation in the statin companies own tests. CAC score of 100 (vs. 0) correlates at 800% increase in death risk!!

      • Margaret says:

Thank you SO much Maria! This really really helped. You really have started me on the right track to finally heal from some serious medical conditions after years of looking for answers. I still have a ways to go but I am so grateful for all you do. I am experiencing a lot of inflammation right now but I believe it stems from my GI issues so I will order that CAC score. I am so excited to continue this diet.

My only other question is what foods I can substitute out with bacon and sausage in the 30 day cleanse as I do not tolerate pork well? I am not concerned with weight loss just overall health but my doctor suspects I have parasites and the pork is really not something my body responds well to.

        • Maria Emmerich says:

Just pick another recipe from the book that has similar calories and same or less carbs. 🙂

  • C says:

Looking forward to doing this cleanse with my husband. What recipes can I substitute in for all the mushrooms, which (match made in heaven) neither of us can eat?

    Thank you.
